Justice Prevails

In light of how crazy these past few days have been, I’m not writing a full blog tonight, but did want to give an update to those asking how court went today for my friend Skipah. Long story short, the judge appointed an advocate to talk to his daughter and observe her to determine what truly would be best for her and what she wants. The fact that she has made it very clear to everyone, including her mother, she doesn’t want to move provides Skipah great hope. Because of the judge not ruling on the relocation request, she gets to start school here, where she has always gone, and the existing custody plan will be followed. So at least, she and Skipah won’t be separated for a couple of months, which was a much better outcome today than he expected.

Tomorrow is open house at Rugrat’s school, so I’m sure I will be back with some crazy 4th grade antics. Thanks for reading!

About Maple Tree House

I'm a twice-divorced, single mom of a vivacious 12-year-old boy I refer to as Rugrat in my blog. I write typically humorous posts about life and juggling time spent working, being a mom, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I also plan to write and publish some fiction in the future and started my blog in an attempt to hone my writing skills.

Maybe, I took it to mean that he thought you were snickering since he said, “I hope that’s only a sneeze.”
